Hopper is a local-first desktop time tracker developed by RedEye Network Solutions LLC, currently at version 0.1.1 with two versions available, and is categorized as a time tracking and PSA integration tool for managed service provider environments. Its purpose is to turn Outlook calendar events into HaloPSA time entries while the details of a meeting are still fresh, prompting the user as each meeting ends so that time can be submitted within the five-minute window that typically follows. Designed for MSP engineers on Windows and macOS, Hopper reads the Outlook calendar over Microsoft Graph and collects the customer, ticket or project, contract, charge code and note, then submits the entry to HaloPSA as a Halo Action. Practical use cases include logging billable time immediately after customer meetings, creating a ticket inline when one does not yet exist, recording ad-hoc work that the calendar never captured, and keeping track of which meetings have already been handled, with the option to sync that status across multiple machines. To speed up entry, the software suggests the customer based on the meeting subject. Privacy and data residency are central to its design: calendar and customer data remain on the device in an encrypted local SQLite cache, protected through DPAPI on Windows and Keychain on macOS, and nothing leaves the machine except the Microsoft Graph and HaloPSA API calls themselves. Hopper requires users to bring their own HaloPSA instance and Microsoft Entra app registration, operating as a public PKCE client that stores no client secret. This makes it suitable for MSP teams that want accurate, timely time capture against their own HaloPSA deployment without routing sensitive scheduling or customer information through third-party servers.
